Photojournalism

Photojournalism is about storytelling with still picture. 

By adding a one liner (call cutline), the stage is set and the viewer begins his/her interpretation of the story. 

I still remember how I almost got shaken up by a close-up shot of a dead kid's hand holding on to a pencil, taken in the aftermath of the Sichuan Earthquake earlier this year.

That, is a powerful story - about natural disaster, tragedy, death, pain, sadness, young generation...
