New Balance 1222

KC brought me and his friend Nick to the New Balance factory outlet at Pasir Panjang. The salesman was very knowledgeable and introduce 3 pairs of shoes that was supposed to fit my foot better for long distance running. In the end I chosed the New Balance 1222 for the good support and comfortable fit.

The innovative STABILITY WEB® provides torsional stability while reducing the weight of the shoe. The STABILITY WEB® technology is positioned under the arch and provides midfoot support but still allows flexibility in the forefoot, which can help encourage a natural running gait.

The Transitional Support System is a multi-density EVA post positioned on the medial side of some New Balance shoes. This system is designed to enhance the transition from the moment your heel strikes the ground to the moment your toe pushes off of the earth. The density of the TS2® material decreases as you move from the rear of the shoe forward. This allows the foot to smoothly transition and begin the toe-off "push" movement in an optimal position.

N-Durance™ rubber compound for maximum outsole durability.

ABZORB®SBS is a melted thermo-plastic that New Balance incoporates into several of its premium shoes. In testing, ABZORB®SBS has been shown to be 5-10% better than original ABZORB® in relation to compression set and cushioning properties. ("Compression set" refers to the tendency of a shoe to lose cushioning ability over time.)

A shoe made with the ISS™ Internal Support System incorporates internal "upper" construction that hugs the midfoot for added support and stability.

Blown Rubber Forefoot for lightweight cushioning.

The N-LOCK® system provides enhanced support by uniquely incorporating the "N" on each shoe and the natural lace-tying pattern. The shoe lace passes through loops attached to the "N" on each side of the shoe. As you naturally tighten your laces and tie your shoe, this "N" is pulled more snugly around your upper midfoot, providing additional support and enforcing the natural shape of the upper midfoot.
