There is a chinese saying "There is no ugly woman in this woman, only lazy woman".

In this materialistic world, this phrase has been misused in promoting beauty merchandise.

I would think that besides the physical appearance, some effort has to be spent on character building, which in turn will probably build up self-confidence as well.
