To shed or not to shed, that is the question

There is a chinese saying 男儿有泪不轻弹. It means a guy should not shed a tear easily. But I think that to suppress your emotion is not healthy. It is an outpour of heart-felt emotion. A gross analogy would be controlling your bowels and it ain't healthy to control it when you feel you need to let go. When you have to let go, you have to go.

I still remember that my first emotional outbreak happen when I was about seven or eight years old...it was during my grandfather's funeral. Back then although I didn't know much about life and death, but I just let go.

The recent tsunami last december had also set my heart to pieces. Still recall a photo of a man holding on to his dead child in the newspaper. It was heartbreaking and sadden me deeply...and it was hard not to shed a tear for the victims...

(They Long To Be) Close To You

A beautiful song from the Carpenters with beautiful lyrics...a classic.

Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around.
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around.
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

Just like me (Just like me)
They long to be
Close to you.

Wahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
Wahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
Hahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.
Lahhhhhhhhhhh, close to you.

No Choice?!

A momentous decision was made today...a judgement call despite having laid all the facts on the table. It was not a surprise to most people (including me), since the signs tells it all. The statistics, official debates held (and unofficial amongst many heartlanders), the social repercussion vs economical boost. There is no right or wrong to it. And it seems like an inevitable evolution of an artificial economy?

Now that the last nail is in the coffin, its time to move on and face up to what might be coming.

In retrospect, much of it is similar in principle for anyone making decisions in life. There will be lots of factors to consider, with probably advices from your friends or acquaintance. But ultimately it's your life and once you make the call, you live with it. That's life. It's all about experiences.

My first time doing it...

I have being struggling for a long time...I got more and more curious as each day passes by...the number of people doing it is uncontrollable...it must be really fun to do such a thing - exposing yourself to the world...dangerous, yet at the same time intriguing....and my inner voice seems to be crying for it too...finally the desire to do it was too tremendous and I fell prey to it.

I decided to blog. :)
