In the BBB mood

In the spirit of changing old things for new (去旧迎新) for Chinese New Year, I got myself another new 'toy': Actually that's not totally true. The real reason was - my OEM desktop was out of commission for a few months and I was too lazy to fix it. So I found myself an excuse to get a new desktop PC, with a 22 inch LCD monitor. Yipee!

I manage to find an old Harddisk, wipe out the partition and re-install the OS. Then I connect my problematic harddisk as slave drive and I tried to do perform the CHKDSK /r command on the drive...

I got this message:
Corrupt master file table. CHKDSK aborted.

Did some search on the net and the conclusion is - I am screwed....

I saw this when I boot up my PC. My heart sank as I reboot a few times and I kept seeing the same message :( .

I used my OS installing CD and manage to get into the C drive. When I type DIR command, I got : An error occurred during directory enumeration.

Tried Chkdsk /R command and it stopped at 25% with the message "The volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems.
